We want to give a HUGE shout-out to The Mohawk Area School District for holding their annual collection drive for Operation Troop Appreciation! They were able to collect $1,250 alongside 7,729 donation items for our troops..WOW!

OTA Board Member SFC Matthew Claycomb attended their Memorial Day ceremony yesterday to represent us and accept their donations for our troops and veterans.

This is an event to honor three of the things Drew loved dearly – family, the Marine Corp and golf.

We will commence at 2:00PM at Crossgates Golf Club. Participation is $85/player or $340/group; we will play an 18-hole scramble, with contest holes and prizes! Following the round, dinner will be served and a silent auction will be held.

All proceeds of this tournament will benefit Opperation Troop Appreciation as well as Benna Smith’s education.

Head on over to The Lamp Theatre in Irwin on Friday, April 27th – it will be a great night filled with fun, music, and support for our troops & veterans! Proceeds will benefit Operation Troop Appreciation.

Huge thank yous are in order to our very own Virginia Wyse and the Queen Alliquippa Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their continued contributions and support of OTA! Virginia is a loyal volunteer of OTA, and was recently featured in DAR’s American Spirit Magazine for her and her chapter’s work with us. Thank you ladies, you rock!!

In loving memory of Evan Christy, we will be hosting a fundraiser benefiting OTA and Animal Friends (the official Pittsburgh Chapter of Pets for Vets) this Saturday 3/3 at Monte Cello’s Italian Restaurant on Babcock Blvd. Donations will be taken all day and Don Christy will be guest bartending in memory of his son from 7:00-9:00PM. Stop by for food, drinks and friends!

Shout-out to our friends over at the Railyard Grill & Tap Room! They’re dedicating entire month of March to our men & women in uniform and will be raising money for the next 31 days in partnership with OTA. Their goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of the March – so let’s get started!
