On Saturday, September 30, 2017, Guy & Andrea Edwards held their 15th Annual Troop Support party, resulting in over 200 pounds of in-kind donations and $6,535! This donation includes a $5,000 donation from Sponsor the Troops, a group dedicated to supporting military and veteran support charities. We thank you for your dedication to our military and veteran communities.
We are very excited to announce that NBC affiliate, WPXI in Pittsburgh PA will feature OTA on the September 29th feature “Proud to be from Pittsburgh”. Make sure you watch the news on the 29th and again on the morning of the 30th. A link will be provided to the story once it airs.
A very special thank you to Mohawk Area School District for a phenomenal donation drive! This annual event has brought much needed items to OTA and they hit it out of the park this year! In total, they collected 5,824 donation items to send to our deployed troops! And also raised $1,000 in monetary donations – far exceeding their goals for the drive!

OTA sends a big shout out to Girl Scout Troop #54520 from Morgantown, WV! They worked hard to pack supplies for our troops overseas on April 1st. We very much appreciate the efforts of these hard working scouts! Definitely a special delivery for our troops!

We’d like to share the incredible story of SFC Ryan Gloyer and the 10th Special Forces Group experience as they fought The Battle of Boz Qandahari in Afghanistan on Nov. 2, 2016. We lost SFC Gloyer and CPT Andrew Byers that day. While we mourn the loss of all our fallen heroes, the loss of SFC Gloyer touched us personally. His family were among the first volunteers of our charity and we had come to know Ryan through our efforts to support him in past deployments. May they rest in peace. Click here for the full story.

Before joining First Commonwealth, he served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at FNB Wealth Management, responsible for the organization’s wealth management sales strategy, revenue retention efforts, investment agency accounts, employee benefit plans, foundations, endowments and trustee relationships. He also spent time at Federated Investors and PNC Wealth Management earlier in his career.
David is a Certified Public Accountant, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from John Carroll University in Ohio and received his MBA from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh.
