We received the care packages today! Everyone was so excited to get all the goodies that you all sent. Thank you so much for the support, it’s great to know that there are folks back home who are kind enough to do something like this for us. We didn’t expect so many items so we went ahead and distributed them to a few other units near us and they thank you as well. We really can’t thank you all enough, these simple things really give meaning to the work we do out here everyday, not just for the temporary gratification of getting something you needed, but also knowing that we are in your thoughts and prayers. I am happy to say that our platoon received a box of snacks including beef jerky (Probably the platoons favorite of all) chips, cookies and other goodies! We are truly grateful for this gesture of goodwill as we are doing our duty to go where our nation beckons. Your letter was very heartfelt and it moves us to have such support from people back home, people that we don’t even know, who would care enough to reach out to those separated from family and loved ones! I really get lost for the right words when someone reaches out to my men like you all have. I know Thank You are only two words but I want your whole staff to know those two words come from my heart. Sleep well knowing that God and the HHC 1/112th will be guarding over you all.

We couldn’t believe all the stuff you sent us. OTA is a fantastic organization! The kindness of strangers is so refreshing. It really warms my heart to know that there are people like you out there, willing to help people so far away that you don’t even know.
